We are an independent chartered surveyors practice covering Cwmbran and the surrounding area helping clients with both residential survey and commercial property issues.

Covering: Cwmbran, Ponthir, Hollybush, Ty Canol, Llanfrechfa, St Dials, Thornhill and the surrounding Cwmbran catchment area.

Cwmbrân is a new town established in 1949 to provide new employment opportunities in the south eastern portion of the South Wales Coalfield; though there is evidence that Neolithic and Bronze Age people used the area, with the Iron Age Silures tribe also occupying the region before being subdued by the Roman legions based at nearby Usk and Caerleon.

Please telephone Keith Batten FRICS and the team to discuss your requirements.

Porthcawl is a town on the south coast of Wales in the county borough of Bridgend, 40 kilometres west of the capital city, Cardiff and 30.5 kilometres southeast of Swansea. Located on a low limestone headland on the South Wales coast, overlooking the Bristol Channel, Porthcawl developed as a coal port during the 19th century, but its trade was soon taken over by more rapidly developing ports such as Barry. Northwest of the town, in the dunes known as Kenfig Burrows, are hidden the last remnants of the town and Kenfig Castle, which were overwhelmed by sand about 1400.

Keith Batten FRICS has over thirty years’ experience as a Chartered Surveyor, and is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He has lived and worked in South Wales all his life, and knows the area well.

Contact Keith if you want a building survey, a homebuyers report, a valuation for mortgage or other purpose, a condition survey or schedule of delapidations, or an expert witness in court proceedings.

He is also experienced in commercial properties, site acquisitions, rating appeals, planning applications, rent reviews for both landlord and tenant, and valuations of licenced properties.

We are happy to discuss your requirements and quote for any proposed building survey, homebuyers report, management or other professional property work required.

Rhondda or the Rhondda Valley lies along the River Rhondda.

During the early to mid 19th century the Rhondda Valleys were inhabited by small farming settlements. In 1841 the parish of Ystradyfodwg, which would later constitute most of the Rhondda Borough, was recorded as having a population of less than a thousand inhabitants. With the discovery of massive deposits of high quality, accessible coal during the mid 19th century the Rhondda Valleys experienced a large influx of financial immigrants.
